Fabulous Festive Food with Rapeseed Oil

20th December 2016

When it comes to food, this really is the most wonderful time of year! With Christmas almost upon us we thought we’d share a few recipes and tips to help you enjoy the festive holidays.

Fabulous Fish and Chips

Many households still enjoy fish on Christmas Eve. Michelin starred chef Nathan Outlaw’s recipe includes hake fillets in beer batter, served with a delicious homemade tartare sauce, so you can impress friends and family.

Christmas Roasties

Christmas Dinner is the showcase meal of the festive season, and for us potatoes are the star of the show. Choose a fluffy variety like King Edwards and roast in rapeseed oil say Good Housekeeping.

Rapeseed oil is also ideal for making crispy parsnips. BBC Good Food suggests Crisp Honey Mustard Parsnips while Nigella’s recipe for Maple-Roast Parsnips will also get your tastebuds going.

An alternative to Christmas Pudding

If you’re looking for something different for your Christmas dessert, why not try Adam Gray’s Black Treacle and Chocolate Porter Pudding, served with a Porter Custard – a luxurious dessert, full of flavour.

Cranberry and Chocolate Brownies

Our brownies are baked using rapeseed oil, and the inclusion of cranberries give them a festive feel. Check out our video to see how easy they are to make.
