How To Fake Your Takeaway
3rd January 2018
We completely understand how the siren call of the local takeaway can be tempting to resist after a long day at work – especially in this post Christmas slump. But maybe, as it’s January, you’ve set yourself resolutions to save money and/or to eat more healthily. If so, have you ever tried making a fakeaway?
What’s a fakeaway?
A Fakeaway is a homemade version of your favourite takeaway dish.
The great thing about cooking your own is that you know exactly what ingredients are going in, which makes it a lot easier to keep track of how much sugar, salt and saturated fat you’re consuming within your diet.
You can save yourself a few pennies too, by buying your own ingredients and cooking at home – especially if there’s more than one of you. Perhaps you could treat yourself to a little something in the January sales with the money you save. What’s not to love about that?
Next time you’re in the mood for a tasty Chinese or pizza, try re-creating the dish yourself at home with the help of our delicious recipes below. We’d love you to share your recipe creations with us on our Rapeseed Oil Benefits Facebook page if you do.
